LOCAL PASTOR'S LICENSING SCHOOL

Local Pastor's Licensing School will look a bit different this year, as we will gather for three different weekend retreats at Wesley Forest to study and learn together. If you have been certified by your District Committee on Ministry and have been approved by your D.S. to attend licensing school, please register by February 1, 2016.

CHI RHO SINGERS CONCERT

The Chi Rho Singers will present an evening of music Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Grace United Methodist Church, 216 S. Market St., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 at 7 p.m. This choir of the Susquehanna Conference of The United Methodist Church includes approximately 35 pastors under the direction of Rev. Joleen Willis, who serves West Side UMC, Clearfield, Pa. The concert will be a celebration of God's love through music. Various styles of sacred music, both contemporary and traditional, will be presented. Several instruments are used to accompany the choir. At times the audience is invited to join the choir in a few selections. You are invited to hear this choir and celebrate the gifts of God expressed in music. A freewill offering will be received.

MISSION TRIP TO THE NORTHERN CHEYENNE RESERVATION IN LAME DEER, MONTANA
 
The trip is from July 2 through July 9, 2016. We will be working to weatherize houses. We will also be attending the Fourth of July Pow Wow. The cost of the trip will be between $300-$500 plus travel costs.

TENDING THE FIRE

Tending the Fire is a series of three retreats designed to equip you to lead from a position of strength and self-control. Learn to recognize and handle sabotage; understand anxiety's impact on your church, your family, and yourself. Using family systems theory, you'll become a non-anxious presence in even the most trying scenarios. You will be equipped to lead change that lasts.
 
The retreats occur March 8-10, May 17-19, and September 13-15 at Orchard Hill Retreat Center in Millerstown.

DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCIAL MINISTRIES POSITION OPEN IN THE INDIANA CONFERENCE OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

The Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church seeks a tithing disciple of Jesus Christ with demonstrated capacity and experience in the development and implementation of processes for excellence in ethical, transparent, efficient, and effective management of all aspects of human, financial, and material resources of large, complex, and diverse organizations.

The successful candidate will understand the inter-relatedness of the various aspects of Conference programming and administration, will appreciate the contributions of others, will cultivate collaboration and teamwork, and will participate in a mutual spiritual covenant with other individuals with whom this collective responsibility for the vision, mission, and ministry of the Conference is shared. Further, the successful candidate will have the ability to identify, develop, and enhance the leadership potential of others.

The selected candidate will have a high capacity for dealing with complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities, and be skillful and comfortable in articulating and reporting the fulfillment of the responsibilities of the position to audiences large and small, within the Conference and to the general public.

Applicants must have a Master's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent (CPA credential earned or in process a plus), coupled with pertinent experience that generally could not be accumulated in less than five years.
