Coming in the winter of 2017 the Young People's Ministry Council will hold three rallies in three locations throughout the conference. The event will bring to the forefront issues that teens are struggling with and give them a space to connect with peers experiencing the same struggles.

Just a quick reminder for all Healthflex participants and spouses to register for the Blueprint for Wellness Screening. This screening involves a comprehensive blood test that is free to all Conference Health (Active or Retiree) Insurance participants and their spouses. Not only will this free screening give you and your doctor valuable information regarding your heart, kidney function, cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid function, iron and more, but will also allow you to earn $100 in HealthCash if you are enrolled in the Virgin Pulse program.

This information will be kept confidential. No one at your church, conference, employer, plan sponsor, HealthFlex, or General Board can access your personal lab results. Our independent lab, Quest Diagnostics, is bound by federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements to protect your privacy.

The deadline for the Blueprint for Wellness is July 31, 2016. Please register at a Quest Diagnostic facility at 1-855-623-9355.

IMPORTANT PROPERTY & CASUALTY INSURANCE INFORMATION

Volunteer and Employee Use of Personal Vehicles
Volunteers and employees often use their own personal vehicles for church/conference activities, events, and day to day operations. It is important to understand that in the event of an at fault accident, the primary (first) source of recovery for liability and the only source of recovery for direct damage to the individual's vehicle is through their own personal automobile insurance. The Automobile Insurance policy through the conference insurance program does, however, provide liability protection in excess of the personal insurance. This in no way eliminates or minimizes the need for these individuals to carry insurance. The recommended minimum limits of liability that should be required of those individuals driving their own personal vehicles on behalf of the church/conference are:
$100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident for Bodily Injury and $50,000 for Property Damage
                                           -OR-
$300,000 Combined Single Limit

Prompt Reporting of Changes That May Affect Insurance
Please remember to promptly report any changes that may affect the insurance coverage for your church such as adding or deleting buildings or locations, new construction projects, vehicle changes, etc. We are making every effort to expedite policy change paperwork so that premiums can be billed or returned as promptly as possible.  While admittedly this has been a problem this year at both the broker and insurer level, the prompt reporting from the churches will be very helpful in getting this process back on track. Unfortunately changes cannot be backdated to prior policy terms. Changes should be reported to Rebecca Triplett at This email address is being protected from spambots.
