IMPORTANT PROPERTY & CASUALTY INSURANCE INFORMATION
Volunteer and Employee Use of Personal Vehicles
Volunteers and employees often use their own personal vehicles for church/conference activities, events, and day to day operations. It is important to understand that in the event of an at fault accident, the primary (first) source of recovery for liability and the only source of recovery for direct damage to the individual's vehicle is through their own personal automobile insurance. The Automobile Insurance policy through the conference insurance program does, however, provide liability protection in excess of the personal insurance. This in no way eliminates or minimizes the need for these individuals to carry insurance. The recommended minimum limits of liability that should be required of those individuals driving their own personal vehicles on behalf of the church/conference are:
$100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident for Bodily Injury and $50,000 for Property Damage
$300,000 Combined Single Limit
Prompt Reporting of Changes That May Affect Insurance
