IMPORTANT PROPERTY & CASUALTY INSURANCE PROGRAM INFORMATION: Elevator Inspections
Due to service problems that have developed over the past several months with PM Associates, we, in conjunction with Philadelphia Insurance Company, have taken steps to change the service provider for elevator inspections effective immediately. PM Associates has been notified in writing to discontinue any inspection service to all churches in the Susquehanna Conference. PM Associates inspectors should no longer be allowed access to your facilities. The new inspection company is National Elevator Inspection Services Inc., aka NEIS. We are attempting to make this transition as seamless as possible; however, the reality is that there could be some gaps here and there. It is important to notify me of any notices you receive from the Department of Labor and Industry relative to past due or upcoming elevator or chair/stair lift inspections.
As a reminder, the cost of regular periodic inspections required by Labor and Industry is included as part of the insurance program. The cost for the certificates issued by the Commonwealth are at the expense of the church. The cost of three year pressure tests required by Labor and Industry are at the church's expense. These tests are to be performed by an elevator company of your choosing and witnessed by National Elevator Inspection Services.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions regarding this change.
