MONEY AND MINISTRY BALANCE WEBINAR

Webinar Wednesday is back with Ministry and Money: Balancing the Books While Keeping Your Balance

Is your church facing a budget crisis? Does your church fight about money-or keep secrets about it? Do you and your leaders struggle with stewardship?

Led by Rev. Margaret Marcuson, this webinar will help you lead around money matters with lowered anxiety and more clarity to cultivate greater generosity in your church. What you will take away with you: a new way to approach the money challenges we all face at church. Take an hour, a computer with a web camera, and a good internet connection, to invest in strengthening your leadership.

Church consultant and speaker Rev. Marcuson is the author of Money and Ministry: Balancing the Books While Keeping Your Balance and Leaders Who Last: Sustaining Yourself. Her dual focus on stewardship and leadership brings a unique perspective to helping fellow clergy and financial leaders not stress or burn out while following their call to ministry.

COOKING FOR CROWDS

Preparing food in large quantities is different than food preparation in the home. Cooking for Crowds: A Volunteer's Guide to Safe Food Handling program helps non-profit organizations and their volunteers understand the risks involved with preparing large volumes of food and the important food safety practices that need to be implemented to ensure a safe event.

When: Tuesday, February 6, 2018  (6:30 - 8:45 p.m.)
Inclement Weather Date: Tuesday, March 6, 2018

Where: Penn State Extension Cumberland County
310 Allen Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013

The program is geared toward volunteers preparing food for events such as church fundraisers, fire company barbecues, booster club food sales, and the many other types of events where food is served to the public. Volunteers will learn the causes of food-borne illness as well as safe food handling practices.

Even if your organization has been doing this for years, things change, and it is important that volunteers are up to date and knowledgeable about rules and regulations governing food safety. Don't risk your customer's health or your organization's reputation.

Cost:
Individual Registration (1 registrant) - $25/per person

Group Registration (2, 3, or 4+ registrants) - $50/organization
(includes 1 manual and registration for up to 4 people, $5 per additional participant)

Additional Cooking for Crowds: A Volunteer's Guide to Safe Food Handling manuals can be purchased for $10 each.

Pre-registration is required!
