DISCOVERY PLACE HOLIDAY HOURS
 
Discovery Place will be closed Friday, December 22 through Tuesday, December 26 for Christmas.

We will also be closed on New Year's Day, Monday, January 1, 2018.

 


 
MISSION CENTRAL HOLIDAY HOURS
 
Mission Central will be closing Friday, December 22 at noon.
We will re-open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2.

UPDATED INSTRUCTIONS FOR FBI CLEARANCES
 
Thank you for your patience. The new FBI Clearance process is up and running on Identogo.com. A Service Code is needed to sign up.  There is a Service Code for Employees and a different Service Code for Volunteers.  
 
INSTRUCTIONS/SERVICE CODE FOR CLERGY and EMPLOYEES:
 FBI CRIMINAL HISTORY REPORT (Fingerprint-based background check)
a. Go to https://www.identogo.com. This is a new system effective November 30, 2017.
b. Click on "Get fingerprinted." Enter your state.
c. Click on "Digital Fingerprinting." Enter Service Code: 1KG756: Employees older than 14 years old with Contact with Children.
d. Schedule appointment. This will step you through the process to sign up for an appointment at a center of your choice in your region.
e. Estimated amount due is $22.60
f. Call the Helpdesk at 844-321-2124 if assistance is needed.

INSTRUCTIONS/SERVICE CODE FOR VOLUNTEERS;
FBI CRIMINAL HISTORY REPORT (Fingerprint-based background check)
a. Go to https://www.identogo.com This is a new system effective November 30, 2017.
b. Click on "Get fingerprinted." Put in your state.
c. Click on "Digital Fingerprinting." Enter Service Code: 1KG6ZJ: DHS Volunteer
d. Schedule appointment. This will step you through the process to sign up for an appointment at a center of your choice in your region.
e. Estimated amount due is $21.35
f. Call the Helpdesk at 844-321-2124 if assistance is needed.

CELEBRATING 70 YEARS OF THE ADVANCE    
 
Celebrating 70 years of The Advance: God's love at work in the European migrant crisis

In 1948, the world was still reeling from the devastation of World War II. Amid the ruin, United Methodists decided to band together to bring the hope of Christ to a world badly in need of hope. That year, General Conference declared a commitment to "a world-wide Advance in which Methodists may share in a ministry of relief and in carrying the Gospel of Christ to the peoples of the earth."

That Advance has continued for 70 years. In every corner of the world, in every crisis, from war to famine to terrorism to climate change to ongoing injustice, The Advance has been connecting the generosity of United Methodists with more than 300 missionaries and over 600 mission projects.

In the coming weeks, we will highlight a few of the ways that United Methodists are bringing the love of God to the world through The Advance.
