DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY ... IN PRISON?
Many churches have used the DISCIPLE Bible Study program for years. As you are aware DISCIPLE assumes that the Bible is the key to renewal in the church. It recognizes the human-divine nature of the Bible: The actual texts of Scripture were written by human beings like us in their cultural settings, under the divine inspiration of God.
Whether you've experienced the life-changing impact of the DISCIPLE Bible Study program firsthand or have only have heard about it from others, this symposium is for you.
A key component of the 1st Annual Prison Ministry Symposium at Albright College on June 2, 2012, is an introduction of the use of the DISCIPLE Bible Study program in a prison setting. DISCIPLE is about transformation, not just information, and therefore has become a powerful resource for outreach ministry. Come to this symposium and learn the "how-to" of starting a DISCIPLE Prison Ministry in your church or group of churches.
Please feel free to share this invitation with others - you need not be a United Methodist to attend - all those who love Jesus are welcome!
