What is the Souper Bowl of Caring?

Souper Bowl of Caring is a youth-inspired movement working across the nation to tackle hunger in their local communities. Mobilizing grassroots resources including churches, schools, civic groups and caring individuals, the Souper Bowl of Caring movement has created over $160 million worth of support that stays completely local.

How can I participate?

Collect non-perishable food items in your congregation or community. Weigh those items and report the amounts back to your district office by February 7. Also, register your amount at tacklehunger.org. Then donate those items to your local food pantry (or your own church’s food pantry).

Take photos of your donations and post them on Facebook with the hashtag #souperbowlsusumc
